How to setup a chess Board : A Simple Guide

Setting up a chessboard properly is essential for starting the game. Here's a simple guide on how to set it up:
Step 1: Place the Chessboard Correctly
Ensure that the board is oriented so that each player has a white square on the rightmost corner of their side (the "right-hand rule").
Step 2: Arrange the Pieces
Back Row (closest to each player):
Rooks: Place them in the corners (a1, h1 for white, a8, h8 for black).
Knights: Place them next to the rooks (b1, g1 for white, b8, g8 for black).
Bishops: Place them next to the knights (c1, f1 for white, c8, f8 for black).
Queens: Place the queen on the square that matches her color. The white queen goes on d1, and the black queen goes on d8.
Kings: Place the king on the remaining square (e1 for white, e8 for black).
Front Row (pawns):
Place all 8 pawns in a row directly in front of the other pieces (a2-h2 for white, a7-h7 for black).
Step 3: Double-Check the Setup
White pieces should be on the first two rows, black pieces on the last two rows.
Make sure that both players’ kings and queens are in the correct positions (remember: the white queen is on d1, the black queen is on d8).
Final Setup (Example for White):
First row (back): Rook, Knight, Bishop, Queen, King, Bishop, Knight, Rook.
Second row (front): 8 pawns.
Repeat the same for Black, reversing the positions.
Once you’ve completed these steps, you’re ready to start the game!
